Q: What is Astrology or Jyotish?
Ans: "Astrology" comes from two Greek words: "astra," meaning "star" and "logos" meaning "word." "Astrology" refers to "the words of the stars" and is the ancient interpretive art and science of observing and understanding planetary and movements and other cosmic events with attention to the timing of rhythms, shifts and cycles.
The word ‘Jyotish’ (Jyotish is one of the Vedangas) means ‘Heavenly body of light, or source of light’. The astrological predictions are thus given for the purpose of throwing light on one’s life, so as to allow the individual to see the map of life more clearly, empowering her/him to progress effectively in the journey of life.

Q: Is Vedic Astrology is religion?
Ans: Absolutely not. Nor is it a philosophy. Vedic Astrology is merely study of mircocosmos in relation with macrocosmos.
Q: How can you prove that planets influence us?
Ans: Your body consists of 75% water just as the ocean is. The ocean is influenced by the moon, which causes high tides. If the moon can affect such a large body of water then we cannot ignore the moons along with other celestial bodies' power on us. If we get Vitamin D from the sun, we can't filter out the other elements that are also absorbed. If we throw a ball up in the air and then it falls back down, we call that force gravity. Yet, we cannot see it. The same truth applies when magnetic forces bombard our bodies' atoms and influence our thinking and actions.
Q: Why is Astrology of value to me or anyone else?

Ans: At the date and time of birth, you absorbed certain properties of cosmic energy. This energy dynamically influences your life. Ans: we are not trapped in unalterable, pre-destined, 'Karmic,' or other such parameters, with no means or hope of bettering, enlightening or elevating our lives materially or spiritually. Trying to change our present life for better is also a part of our Karmic Obligation. We have that power. And we also have free will whether we want to use that power or not, or to which degree we want to use it.
Many times, we make certain decisions, & then we work to meet the goals. When we get our desired goals, we wonder if we really wanted it. For example, you buy a shirt from the supermarket, but when you reach home, you realize that you don’t want it. And then, you put efforts to get rid of it. Similarly, in a pastlife, you may have seen some minister’s son being pampered & lavished with many toy things, & you wished if you could take his place (Vaasanaa). You approached a guru for mantra-diksha to gain such a position & got the mantra-diksha too! According to his advice, you also made friendly associations with the minister’s son & other politically important figures at the time by helping them from time to time, to strengthen karmic relations with them. The fruits of your mantra-chanting bore late (phal-praapti) & you are a minister’s son now, in this birth. You now don’t remember that you wanted to be a minister’s son. But you are not comfortable being a minister’s son which may give you many psychological & practical difficulties. Q: What is Vyavasaaya Jyotish (Occupational Astrology)?

At times, it gives remedies to reduce the malefic effects or increase the effects of benefic planets. Q: What to expect during Astro-Numero-Grapho-Tarot consultation?
Ans: In Astro-Numero-Grapho-Tarot consultation, as the name suggests, I combine Vedic Asrology, Tarot, Numerology & Graphology in this consultation.
In Counseling Room, I use the best softwares available in market for Vedic Astrology in order to study your charts effectively and efficiently to recommend the best scientific and practical remedies. All remedies are to be done by the individual.
The tarot cards I use are chosen according to the client’s energies. Numerological energies are then identified. I take a small sample of client’s handwriting along with signature (which is returned to client by the end of the consultation) to augment the consultation. Astrological investigation forms the base of the whole consultation.
My predictions are not entirely based on the twelve Zodiac signs or Rashi Zodiac signs which is generally used by so called Pandits, Astrologers etc. I take the whole birth-chart with related details into consideration. Q: How I will come to know my right Gemstones?
Ans: You need to provide your date of birth, time of birth and place of birth to find out your astrological gemstones during your consultation.
Q: What is the difference between Vedic Astrological Gemstones and others that we get at the next door jewellers or big malls?
Ans: Most of time, when we go to a store or fancy mall we get gemstones that are mostly stimulated, treated, polished or dyed in a lab to make it better looking and more appealing . – these are fashion jewelry. Where as, Vedic Astrological Gemstone are not ornamental but remedial, and in most cases, they are not treated, dyed, or faceted to create brilliance. These are mostly fixed in a simple ring or pendent. The designs of the rings or pendents are kept simple as per vedic scriptures. Often only one gemstone of a kind is used in these rings or pendents rather than multiple gemstones of the same kind.
Q: How can a piece of rock help me?
Ans: The gemstone works as a conductor & booster of cosmic energy in the same way as a solar energy panel. Right gemstones will absorb required cosmic energy in order to balance your system. Q: Why can't I wear my birthstone?
Ans: You can if it is stimulated or synthetic. It is not going to have any effective value in terms of affecting your energies. But if it is real, then you need to find out whether it is fully synchronizing with your energies. Birthstones are recommended according to one’s Sun-sign calculated on the basis of calculations in western astrology. We also need to consider positions of moon & planets like Mercury, Venus etc in one’s birth-chart in addition to the Sun’s position. Half-knowledge can be dangerous. Using ‘birthstone’ may alter your mind set to create conficts, blockages or depletion of energies. You may end up innocently creating a problem within yourself, leading to uninvited troubles in different areas of life.
Q: What differences will I feel after wearing Vedic Astrological Gemstone?

Q: what a color therapy session involves?
Ans: Color therapy treatment can be used and applied in many ways. A qualified Color therapist though, will know what color to use by way of a consultation. Color treatment can be given in a number of different ways and, as with any therapy, each therapist may have his or her own 'style'.

Q: What is Numerology? (Answer by Dr Daisy)
Ans: The science of Numerology is as old as human civilization. Our ancestors & even the present generation to a large extent consults priests or astrologers to select an appropriate name for a new born child according to Ank-shashtra, Moon-Nakshatra, other conditions in one’s astrological chart & divine messages received by such a spiritual person . Because everyone of us are consciously or subconsciously aware that a well chosen name is supposed to attract strength & good luck that can assist in making one's life happy and successful.
Numerology is the part of the esoteric sciences that combine Astrology and Mathematics (although mathematics and astronomy are intrinsic part of Astrology, I decided to mention it here to bring the point home) to give predictions and recommendations. Numbers are a universal way of communicating. They have a language of their own & in Numerology each letter has a different meaning because of the energy associated with it. In such a case, one will be advised to change the name number to 21, only to invite troubles. It is very disheartening at times to see numerologists practicing numerology without the required study of Astrological charts.
Q: I have changed my name /name spelling as per Numerology. Do I need to make sure that all the people I know are informed about it? (Answer by Dr Daisy)
